Area Volleyball: Patriots power past Flyers

LITTLE FALLS -- Lydia Hubbard led Pequot Lakes with 17 kills and Kate-Bolz-Andolshek followed with 16 kills as the Patriots defeated the Little Falls Flyers 3-1 in a non-conference matchup Tuesday, Sept. 3.

Mirjiana Ganley topped the Patriots with 21 digs followed by Mariah Rickard’s 18 and Ella Pfieffer’s 15 digs to move Pequot to 4-0.

Kerstin Knopik registered 19 kills and three blocks and Taylor Jordan contributed 29 set assists with 15 digs for the 1-2 Flyers.

BERTHA -- Tabetha Allen recorded 30 kills for the Staples-Motley Cardinals in a 3-2 non-conference win over the Bertha-Hewitt Bears Tuesday, Sept. 3.

Heidi Lombard collected 39 digs and Aubrey Brandt and Bella Martin tallied 20 digs apiece for the 5-1 Cardinals. Mackenna Bjerga recorded 31 set assists.
