Pine River-Backus 3, Braham 0

CROSBY — Hannah Barchus totaled 18 kills, 17 digs and six blocks for the Pine River-Backus Tigers as they defeated the Braham Bombers 3-0 to advance to the Section 5-1A finals Thursday, Nov. 4.

Claire Dahl finished with nine kills, 23 digs and two blocks while Alura Dahl recorded 32 set assists and 10 digs for the Tigers.

Pine River-Backus will face Walker-Hackensack-Akeley in the Section 5-1A finals 2 p.m. Saturday Nov. 6 at Crosby-Ironton High School.

ST. CLOUD — Maci Martini recorded 16 kills and 15 digs for the No. 2 seeded Pequot Lakes Patriots as they advanced to the Section 6-2A finals after defeating the No. 6 seeded Milaca Wolves 3-0 Thursday, Nov. 4.

Ella Kratochvil tallied 14 kills and nine digs and Abi Martin added 36 set assists and seven digs for the Patriots.

Pequot will play No. 1 seeded Sauk Centre at St. Cloud Tech 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 6, for the right to advance to the 2A State Tournament.

Sauk Centre defeated Pequot Lakes 3-0 during the regular season.
