Area Wrestling: Aitkin’s Larson falls to wrestlebacks in Fargo

FARGO — Aitkin’s Marshall Larson made it to the 106-pound quarterfinals before suffering his first loss at the 58-team Rumble on the Red Tournament Dec. 28, at the Fargodome.

The Gobblers’ sophomore won by a fall and 5-4 decision in his first two matches before losing a 3-1 decision to St. Francis’ Tyson Charmoli. Larson defeated Minot’s Gabe Mortensen in the wrestlebacks to stay alive in the tournament.
