PIERZ - The Pierz Pioneers secured four titles and the Aitkin Gobblers captured two in the Section 7-1A individual tournament Saturday.
Brandon Ortman (120), Kolton Eischens (152), Brett Kapsner (170) and Austin Gall (285) will advance to the state tournament as champions for the Pioneers as well as champions Dan Nordean (138) and Noah Landrus (160) for the Gobblers.
Reese Kapsner (106), Jake Andres (113), and Andrew Tomala (132) were runners-up for the Pioneers and advance to state while Aitkin advanced Jerod Novak (145), Alan Bast (195), and Kyle Lynn (220) as second-place finishers.
Jalen Jenson (138) lost a true second-place match for the Pioneers to Tim Kent of Mille Lacs.
