DETROIT LAKES - Spencer Miller and Owen Bjerga set the table at the first two weights for the Staples-Motley Cardinals who swept Tuesday's Mid-State Conference triangular with a 48-12 win over Crosby-Ironton and a 51-30 win over Detroit Lakes.
Miller and Bjerga both finished 2-0 as did Blayne Dumpprope, Eric Lisson and Dalton Holmberg for the Cardinals.

WADENA - Three forfeits were costly for the Wadena-Deer Creek Wolverines in their 45-33 loss to United North Central in a Park Region Conference meet Tuesday.
Winning by pin for the Wolverines were Mason Snyder, Chase Godel, Tyler Wheeler and Steve Erkenbrack. Carter Wright won by injury default.
According to WDC head coach Norm Gallant, the Wolverines rallied from a 33-12 deficit to tie the meet 33-33. A forfeit at 195 and loss by pin at heavyweight accounted for the final score.
