CASS LAKE-Nine Pierz Pioneers advanced to the Class 1A state individual tournament after they claimed Section 7-1A championships or runner-up finishes Saturday.
The Aitkin Gobblers will send two individuals and the Crosby-Ironton Rangers are sending one.
Pierz's Brandon Ortman, Andrew Tomala, Brett Kapsner and Matt Kummet all won section titles with Brandon Funk, Jake Andres, Reese Kapsner, Jalen Jansen and Carson Huls all finishing second.
Aitkin's Silas Berg won the 126-pound title and Kenny Hesse the 170-pound championship.
Crosby-Ironton's Kaven Blazek defeated Kapsner in the 138-pound title match to advance to state for the Rangers.

FERGUS FALLS-Holt Truax and Ethan Kimber captured Section 8-2A individual championships Saturday and will advance to the state tournament for the Bertha-Hewitt/Verndale/Parkers Prairie Raiders.
Also advancing for the Raiders will be Zack Waln and Craig Orlando.

S-M sends six to state
PELICAN RAPIDS-Spencer Miller, Eric Lisson and Alex Erpelding will all compete in the Class 1A individual state tournament as section 6-1A champions.
The three Staples-Motley Cardinals owned their respective weight classes Saturday to advance to state along with section runners-up Blayne Dumpprope, Owen Bjerga and Jasiah Paskewitz.
The Wadena-Deer Creek Wolverines will send runner-ups Carter Wright and Steven Erkenbrack.
