Athletics: 4 Warriors honored by conference

Brandon Neifert, Kayla Bush, Ally Goeden and Brynne Folden were named Central Lakes Conference Performers of the Week.

Neifert, a senior captain of the Warriors boys soccer team, has allowed just one goal in five games and has a save on a penalty kick.

Kayla Bush, a senior defender on the Warriors girls soccer team, has helped Brainerd to a 5-0 start in which the Warriors have not allowed a goal.

“She’s been proactive in stopping attacks and winning most balls in the air,” Warriors head coach Grant Gmeinder said.

Brainerd girls tennis’ No. 2 doubles team of Goeden-Folden are undefeated at 5-0 as is the Warriors team.
