The second annual Battle of the Schools Combine is scheduled April 8 at Takedown Gym north of Brainerd on Highway 371.
Registration begins at 11:30 a.m. the day of the event which runs from 12:30-4:30 p.m. All area schools are encouraged to participate and take on the Brainerd Warriors, last year's champions.
Each student will score points for their team based on performance in each event. The goal is to expose male and female student athletes to sport-specific training that leads to enhanced performance on and off the field.
Events include 20-yard dash, 60-yard shuttle, 5-10-5 shuttle, 3-cone drill, vertical jump, broad jump, 6-pound medicine ball toss and sit and reach.
Divisions are for high school students (grades 9-12) and middle school (grades 5-8).
