Athletics: C-I Rangers announce 2019 Hall of Fame class


Two athletes, a coach and a team will be inducted into the Crosby-Ironton Athletic Hall of Fame during homecoming week Friday, Sept. 20.

Julie Swenson and Mark Hoge will be inducted as athletes. Boys head golf coach Rich Aulie will also be inducted along with his 1996 state championship boys golf team, which featured Mike Koop, Erik Severson, Marcus Aulie, Matt Nichols, Jon Nelson and Erik Chritenson.

The homecoming celebration will begin with the Renaming of the Ranger Gym to the Dave Galovich Gym 5 p.m. Friday, Sept. 20 in the high school commons area. After the ceremony, fans are welcome to attend the Rangers homecoming game against Pine City starting at 7 p.m.

The Ranger Athletic Hall of Fame banquet will be held at noon, Saturday, Sept. 21 in the high school commons.

Both the gym renaming and the hall of fame banquet are free to the public.
