Baseball: Beaudreau's ends Bees' season

COLD SPRING -- Blake Peterson pitched a complete game but the Brainerd Bees were edged by Beaudreau's of St. Cloud 3-2 in the Region 7B tournament Monday night.

COLD SPRING - Blake Peterson pitched a complete game but the Brainerd Bees were edged by Beaudreau's of St. Cloud 3-2 in the Region 7B tournament Monday night.

Peterson allowed nine hits and three runs (1 earned) with seven strikeouts and one walk.

"Blake pitched his best game of the summer," Bees manager Tim Martin said. "It was a tough loss but he should feel good about his performance."

Blake Eller went 3-for-4, Tyler Lenz was 2-4 with a double and Jack Hegarty delivered an RBI single for the Bees.

"We left 10 guys on base," Martin said. "I give credit to their pitcher Ryan Schneider. He battled out of a couple tough jams with good pitches."

Schneider went eight innings. He allowed 10 hits and two earned runs with 11 strikeouts and three walks.
