Baseball: Benson’s bomb not enough for Warriors

Brainerd traveled to Sauk Rapids for a Central Lakes Conference doubleheader.

SAUK RAPIDS — Jonathan Benson smashed a solo home run for the lone Brainerd Warriors run Tuesday, May 4, in a 4-1 Central Lakes Conference loss to Sauk rapids.

Andrew Zuk and Will Carlson each tallied two hits apiece and Riley DeRosier ripped a double for the Warriors.

Jack Schafer started for Brainerd and struck out six in 4.1 innings.
