The newly formed Brainerd Lakes Area Baseball Association (BLABA) is a non-profit organization aimed to provide youths ages 18 and under an opportunity to enjoy travel baseball on a more organized and elevated level.
The association will field teams at various age groups and will be affiliated with the Gopher State Baseball League through Minnesota Youth Athletic Services (MYAS) and will work in coordination with the Brainerd Parks and Recreation Department.
BLABA's goal is that all players in School District 181 have an opportunity to play baseball with members of their school and community.
BLABA will host a Leadoff Party from 1 to 4 p.m. Jan. 12 at the Brainerd American Legion Club. This event is free and open to the public. Attendees will be able to meet with board members, meet the Brainerd Warriors new head baseball coach, Trent Grams and his staff, receive information and ask questions about the association, sign up for tryouts and more.
The association is also seeking individuals interested in coaching opportunities and would love to meet you at this event.
