Baseball: CLC Fall League registration under way

Registration is open for players in grades 3-12 who are interested in participating in the third annual Central Lakes College Fall Baseball League.

The league will play on Sundays Sept. 9, 16, 23 and 30 with doubleheaders for each team for a total of eight games. Each participant will receive a fall league jersey and a cap.

Fee for the league is $85. Teams and schedules will be set once registration is complete. Registration is open until Sept. 4. Teams will be randomly picked.

Games will start at 11 a.m. and go until two games are played for each team.

Grades 3-4 and 5-6 will play at Oscar Kristofferson Park, 5672 Baxter Lions Rd. N., Baxter.

Grades 7-9 and 10-12 will play at either the CLC field across the street from 501 W. College Drive, Brainerd or at Don Adamson Field at Brainerd High School on East River Road.

There will be pitch counts for totals in an inning and total for a day. Games for grades 3-4 and 5-6 will be 6-inning games or a time limit. Games for grades 7-9 and 10-12 will be 7-inning games or a time limit.

Batting cages will be available one hour before the first game. If there is a break between games, there can possibly be cage time.

Teams will be coached by two CLC players with a coach at each field to help with both teams.
