The Brainerd Warrior freshmen team played split squad games against Rocori at Forestview Middle School Thursday.
Brainerd Blue nipped Rocori 6-5 as Morgan Gibson doubled and had two RBIs and Brady Anderson doubled. Eric Martin pitched 4.2 innings for the win. Brady Anderson earned a save.
In Game Two, Brainerd Blue and Rocori tied 11-11. Brady Anderson, Renzen Caughey and Morgan Gibson were 3-for-4. Anderson, Eric Martin, and Sam Miller tripled. Anderson and Noah Blakeman doubled. Noah Blakeman pitched three innings, and left with a 10-5 lead. Renzen Caughey and Evan Storbakken pitched the final two innings.
Brainerd Silver edged Rocori 14-13 with Calvin Foss going 2-for-5 with a triple and four RBIs. Tom Fickett and Ben Jones were also 2-for-5. Bailey McMahon started and pitched four innings. Kameron Vanek pitched two innings, picking up the win. Garrett Heinlen pitched the ninth and got a save.
