The St. Mathias Harvest Over 50 team opened its season with a doubleheaders split with the Willow Park Goats Sunday, July 14.
Rob Veight pitched the Harvest to a 4-2 victory in the opener. George Weber earned a save.
Steve Athman’s two RBI single highlighted a three-run fourth inning.
The Harvest posted a three-run ninth inning in the nightcap only to see the Goats rally for a 4-3 victory.
Kevin Tschida and Weber both collected three hits. Athman, Jay Bee, Veith and Frank Weber finished with two hits each.

The Harvest’s next game is noon Saturday, July 20 at Brooklyn Center.
