Baseball: Nisswa Lightning Camp June 10-12

The annual Nisswa Lightning Youth Baseball Camp is scheduled from 1 to 4 p.m. June 10-12 at Nisswa Park.

The camp, for boys and girls between the ages of 7-12, provides youths the opportunity to develop and improve their baseball skills by focusing on the fundamentals of throwing, fielding, hitting, pitching and baserunning.

Current and former Nisswa Lightning players will be on hand to provide daily instruction to campers.

Numerous Lightning players have collegiate and even professional baseball experience. The instructional staff is dedicated to helping youths develop and improve their skills.

Advance registration fee is $40 per camper (deadline June 8). Cost is $50 if registration is received after June 8.

Campers are expected to provide glove, footwear and bat (a few bats will be available)

The camp includes nine hours of instruction over a 3-day period, a Nisswa Lighting Baseball Camp T-shirt and free admission to the Lightning game June 12. Winners of the 10 camp competitions will be recognized at the Lightning game.

Make checks payable (no cash) to Nisswa Lightning Baseball. Registration must be postmarked by June 5. Late registration will also be available at camp starting at noon June 10.
