Baseball: Pederson, Warriors rally past Otters

FERGUS FALLS--Chris Pederson struck out 11 in a complete game and the Brainerd Warriors rallied past the Fergus Falls Otters 4-3 in a Central Lakes Conference game Thursday.

FERGUS FALLS-Chris Pederson struck out 11 in a complete game and the Brainerd Warriors rallied past the Fergus Falls Otters 4-3 in a Central Lakes Conference game Thursday.

Pederson evened his record at 1-1 as he walked two and hit one batter. He allowed seven hits and three earned runs.

After allowing three runs in the first, Pederson blanked the Otters the rest of the way. He pitched out of a bases-loaded jam in the bottom of the seventh to preserve the win.

Brainerd scored twice in the third and twice in the fourth improving to 3-2 in the CLC.

The Warriors' Tristan Brecht went 2-for-4 with two RBIs and a double. Jake Meyer was 2-for-4 with a run scored and stolen base. Jaden Miller was 1-for-3 with a run and a double. Allen Jevning finished 1-for-2 with a run, RBI, double and walk.

Adam Swanson pitched the first six innings for the Otters, who slipped to 0-4 in the CLC, 1-4 overall.
