Eli Roberts went 4-for-4 to lead the Brainerd Warrior sophomores to a 13-6 victory over St. Cloud Apollo Tuesday.
Roberts doubled and tripled, scored three runs and drove in three.
Gunnar Wicklund finished 3-4 and Ethan Sannes, Michael Laber, Marcus Lennartson and Mason Argir each contributed two hits for Brainerd.
Tayden Holden, the second of three Warrior pitchers, got the win. In three innings, he allowed one hit and one run (earned) with three walks and two strikeouts.
Freshmen sweep Apollo

The Brainerd Warrior freshmen opened their season Tuesday with 3-1 and 10-5 victories over St Cloud Apollo.
In Game One, Tristan Dawson was 2-for-3 and Will Carlson and Conrad Provost doubled for the Warriors. Harry Carlson pitched four innings, striking out seven. Christian Augustine gave up an unearned run and earned the save.
Cole Larkin was 2-for-3 with two RBIs and Owen Kubesh drove in two runs for Brainerd in Game Two. Theo Lund pitched 3.1 innings, striking out five. Larkin pitched the final 1.2 innings, striking out three.
