Matt Tautges and Lane Girtz of Pierz and Austin Weisz of Little Falls will play for the North team in the 43rd annual Play Ball! Minnesota High School Baseball All-Star Series June 23-24 at Chaska Athletic Park.
North, South, Metro North, Metro South, Metro East and Metro West teams will play a round-robin schedule. One hundred and four of the top graduating senior baseball players in the state, from all four classes and representing 86 high schools, have been invited to participate.
Teams will practice Thursday, June 22, and attend a banquet that night at Canterbury Park in Shakopee. Proceeds from the series are donated to charities throughout Minnesota.
