Baseball: Tryouts for 9U, 10U Baxter Travel Baseball this month

Tryouts for 9U and 10U Baxter Travel Baseball are scheduled March 28, 29 and 31 in the Riverside Elementary gym.

Tryouts for the 9U team will be from 5:30 to 7 p.m. and the 10U from 7 to 8:30 p.m.

All 9-10 year olds that play in the Mustang Baseball League in Baxter are eligible to try out. Age (9U-10U) is based on the player's age as of May 1, 2016.

Register at the door March 28. Players need to bring a glove, baseball pants and tennis shoes (bring a bat if you have your schedule).

Practice will start the end of April. There will be two to three practices per week. Cost is to be determined.

Baxter will play in two tournaments with an additional three to four games scheduled. In addition, Baxter will play in a state tournament with the opportunity to advance to a regional tournament and to the Cal Ripken World Series.
