Michael Laber went 2-for-3 with a double and two RBIs as the Brainerd Warrior sophomore team outscored St. Cloud Apollo 8-2 Wednesday.

Seth Vagts was 2-4 with an RBI and two runs scored. Marcus Lennartson was 2-3. Christian Kadolph and Gunnar Wicklund doubled.

Broc Peterson pitched 4.1 innings to get the win. He allowed nine hits and two runs (1 earned) with two strikeouts and no walks.

Laber went the last 2.2 innings and earned a save. He allowed just one hit, one walk and no runs.

Freshmen split

Charlie Johnson was 2-for-2 with a double as the Brainerd Warrior freshmen nipped St. Cloud Apollo 5-4 in Game One of a doubleheader Wednesday.

Harry Carlson was 2-for-3 and Will Carlson hit a walk-off double for the Warriors.

Will Carlson started and went two innings, striking out four. Conrad Provost pitched two innings, striking out one. Andy Zuk pitched the fifth inning and got the win.

Asher Pearl was 2-for-3 and Daniel Dobbs doubled as the Warriors dropped Game Two 12-7. Kyle Bush started and went 1.1 innings, getting the loss. Austin Harbo pitched 2.1 innings of relief. Jackson Dwyer pitched the final inning.
