Baseball: Warriors leave runners on base, fall to Moorhead

MOORHEAD--Seth Vagts, Brock Peterson and Michael Laber each collected two hits, but the No. 6 Brainerd Warriors managed just one run in a 5-1 loss to No. 3 Moorhead in the Section 8-4A opening round Wednesday, May 29.

MOORHEAD-Seth Vagts, Brock Peterson and Michael Laber each collected two hits, but the No. 6 Brainerd Warriors managed just one run in a 5-1 loss to No. 3 Moorhead in the Section 8-4A opening round Wednesday, May 29.

The one Warrior run came on a Laber home run in the second inning, which cut the Spuds lead to 2-1. Brainerd left eight runners on base.

Moorhead scored three more runs off Eric Martin in the fifth with Ethan Sannes coming on in relief.
