COLD SPRING — Will Carlson hit a double as one of Brainerd’s two hits in its 3-0 loss to Elk River in the Section 8-4A loser’s bracket Saturday, June 5.
Andrew Zuk notched the other hit for Brainerd.
Elk River scored all three of its runs in the first inning off Brainerd starter Isaac Hanson. Hanson pitched six innings, allowed four hits, struck out one and walked eight in the loss.
The Warriors finish their season with a 6-16 record.
