While the second game took extra innings, the Brainerd Warriors still managed a 7-1, 6-3 Central Lakes Conference sweep of the Willmar Cardinals Tuesday at Adamson Field in Brainerd.
With Brainerd as the visiting team in Game Two, it used a three-run top of the eighth to break a 3-3 tie.
In the eighth, Braydon Borg led off with a single. Max Boran sacrificed Borg to second. Connor Knettel then singled in Borg. Hunter Wicklund pinch ran for Knettle and stole second base and scored on Chris Karels single. Karles then scored on Will Peabody's double.
Boran pitched the eighth. He hit one batter en route to his save.
David Benson pitched ⅓ of an inning in the seventh to secure the win. He allowed one hit, which scored the tying run.

Braydon Borg pitched the first 6 ⅔ innings. He allowed three runs on five hits and two walks. He struck out seven, but reached the 105 maximum pitch count and had to be relieved.
Mac Brink hit a triple and was hit by a pitch. Bryce Flanagan was 2-3 with a double, home run, and two RBIs. Boran finished 2-3 with a run and stolen base. Knettle was 2-4 with an RBI. Karels was 2-4 with two RBIs and one run and Peabody was 2-3 with the RBI double.
Flanagan pitched the Game One victory. He went five innings and allowed three hits and one walk. Boran pitched the final two innings. He struck out three, walked one and allowed one run on three hits.
Brink finished 2-4 with a run, stolen base and two RBIs. McCale Peterson went 2-3 with two runs, double and an RBI. Borg hit a double. Knettel was 1-1 with a run and was hit-by-a-pitch twice. Peabody also hit a double and scored a run.
"It was good to win a couple after we dropped that tough one (Monday) at Bemidji," said Warriors head coach Lowell Scearcy. "We have a tough one coming up down in Alexandria."
