Oliver Toftness led Crosby-Ironton over Brainerd 13-6 in the 64th annual Bronco League Mid-Summer Classic Monday, July 8, at Bane Park.

Toftness had one hit, but on the mound he struck out five batters to earn Most Valuable Player honors for C-I.

Maverick Badeaux was named the MVP of the Brainerd squad.

Jairus Millsop collected three hits for C-I while Danny Goodwin, Brody Bodle, Jason Schafer and Caleb Hautala each had two hits. Spencer Hollenhorst added a hit for C-I. Deacon French was cited for the defensive play of the game with a nifty catch in the outfield.

For Brainerd, Gavin Hines had a single, double and two RBIs and struck out six batters. Chase Tretter and Jacob Scott each had a single and double and Alex Swartout stroked a double.
