Former Brainerd Warriors pitcher Nick Anderson is in his first season in the major leagues as a relief pitcher for the Miami Marlins.
Anderson pitched a perfect inning of relief, with two strikeouts, in the Marlins 10-3 victory over the Philadelphia Phillies Saturday, April 13.
In the Marlins' 14-inning 3-1 loss to the Phillies Sunday, April 14, he allowed one hit and one walk, but didn't allow a run. He struck out two more.
In eight games, Anderson has 16 strikeouts and a 1.17 ERA in 7.2 innings pitched.
He has allowed just one run on seven hits and two walks.
