Area Baseball: Rangers defend home field against Pillager

CROSBY—Nate Williams tallied a double and four hits, while Logan Grittner was 3-4 with a double and six RBIs in an 11-8 non-conference win for Crosby-Ironton over Pillager Monday, May 13.

The Rangers scored three runs in both the first and second inning to jump out to a quick lead and collected 12 hits.

Pillager's Blake Clark went 2-4 with two RBIs and run. Sam Jensen went 2-4 with a double, RBI and two runs scored. Griffin Decker added a double

PEQUOT LAKES—Austin Meister, Dylan Mesenbrink and Daltin Ackerman all knocked out two hits in a 7-2 Game One win and Cam Anderson struck out six batters in a 18-0 Game Two win for Pequot Lakes over Park Rapids in a Mid-State Conference doubleheader Monday, May 13

Meister and Mesenbrink each collected two RBI and Ackerman knocked out a triple in Game One.

Anderson shut down the Panthers for six innings in Game two, giving up just one hit along with the six strikeouts.

Dylin Ackerman was 3-3 with three RBI and Sam Pfeiffer went 2-4 with two RBIs.

Noah Roers finished 3-3 with a double, two runs and two RBIs for W-DC. Wyatt Hamann went 2-3 with two RBIs and a run and Colby Schertler w2ent 2-3 with a double, two runs and an RBI.

The Cardinals saw hits from Tom Kossan, Brayden Christiansen and Emmitt Winkels.

The Gobblers led 8-1 after three innings.

Tate Kuppich got the start and he pitched seven innings, giving up six hits and striking out six batters.
