ROSEVILLE- The second-seeded Hill-Murray Pioneers rallied with four runs in the sixth inning for a 6-5 victory over the Little Falls Flyers in the Class 3A consolation semifinals, Friday, June 14, at the University of Northwestern in Roseville.

Little Falls, which finishes the season 13-11 overall, had snapped a 2-2 tie with three runs in the top of the fifth inning. The key hits in the inning were a two-run double by Mason Dempsey and an RBI single by Arik Schwanke.

Hill-Murray rallied in the sixth as Jack Schwartz delivered a game-tying RBI single and Owen Quast drew a bases loaded walk with two outs for the go-ahead run.

Dempsey had three hits and drove in three runs while Schwanke added two hits for the Flyers. Schwartz had three hits while Cam Quinlan and Cooper Schumacher had two hits each for the Pioneers.

Cam Pogreba picked up the win in relief for Hill-Murray while Cam Quinlan tossed a scoreless seventh to earn the save. Caleb Strack was the losing pitcher as he allowed four earned runs while striking out five in 5 2/3 innings.
