Former Brainerd Warriors pitcher Nick Anderson is in his first season in the major leagues as a relief pitcher for the Miami Marlins.

Anderson continued his hot pitching as he posted two strikeouts and a walk in one inning to record a hold during the Marlins 4-3 victory over the Pittsburgh Pirates Saturday, June 15.

Anderson faced four batters. He threw 20 pitches, 13 for strikes.

It was Anderson's third hold of the season. He owns a 2-2 record with a 4.08 ERA in 29 appearances. He's pitched 28 2/ 3 innings and has struck out 50.

Anderson has allowed 13 runs on 22 hits and 13 walks, three intentional. Opponents are hitting just .206 against him.
