Logan Goetz and Bryan Schatiberger reached base with a walk for Brainerd in the loss.

Brainerd’s 15U VFW will host a tournament from July 16-18 next. Their record in division stands at 1-8.

“Being the younger team that’s coming through and playing the kids who are going to be juniors, as the year has gone on we have played better,” Brainerd head coach Brian Voigt said. “Our at-bats are getting better, we are throwing more strikes, our fielding has gotten better. They are getting more confident playing with each other which should bring some really good things come springtime.”
