ST. JOSEPH - Brainerd's fifth grade boys team and Crosby-Ironton's sixth grade girls team will play in the Pacesetter Minnesota Youth Basketball State Championship Tournament Sunday, June 21, at the College of St. Benedict.
In the opening round, Brainerd will play Hawley at 9 a.m. C-I will play Alexandria at 9 a.m.
Boys in grades 5, 7 and 9 and girls in grades 6 and 8 will be playing for overall Minnesota state titles in the Pacesetter playoffs which involved more than 700 teams from throughout Minnesota competing in eight regions.

Fifth grade boys: Hawley, Brainerd, Minneapolis Fairview, Hutchinson, Rushford-Peterson, Nett Lake, Annandale, Barnesville.

Seventh grade boys: Eden Valley-Watkins, Cass Lake-Bena, Detroit Lakes, Lake City, Brandon-Evansville, Cannon Falls, Moose Lake-Willow River, Minneota.
Ninth grade boys: Westbrook-Walnut Grove, Austin, Zimmerman, Fergus Falls, Perham, Esko, Eden Valley-Watkins, Brandon-Evansville.
Sixth grade girls: Red Wing, Mora, New London-Spicer, Roseau, Alexandria, Crosby-Ironton, Dover-Eyota, Litchfield.
Eighth grade girls: Grand Meadow, Eden Valley-Watkins, International Falls, New Ulm, Willmar, Bemidji, Red Rock Central, St. Mary's (Breckenridge).
