On Friday, Jan. 11, the Pillager Special Olympic team took on the Menahga Braves on the basketball court.
Everyone on the team contributed a great amount of effort and hard work throughout the game. Tate and Manny led the team with six big points each, along with Hunter leading the team in rebounds. Rocky, Domenik, Bella, Mitchell, Emma and Hunter all contributed to the scoring with two points each. These scorers were all assisted on the court by many high school unified players ready to grab a rebound and pass the ball to them under the hoop. The Special Olympics team would like to thank the Pillager school and community for coming out to support the team and for contributing great support and cheers throughout the game.
