Brainerd senior forward Griffin Rushin was named to the 2021 Mr. Basketball watch list announced by the Mr. Basketball Committee Wednesday, Feb. 10.
Rushin has averaged 24.5 points, 8.9 rebounds and 2.8 assists in eight games. He is shooting 57% from the field, 41% from 3-point and 86% from the free throw line.
He has been named to Central Lakes Conference player of the week and defensive player of the week.
He is committed next year to the University of St. John’s for basketball.
Last season, Rushin was named Dispatch All-Area Honorable Mention and averaged 11.5 points, 4.9 rebounds and 1.3 assists.
