ST. JOSEPH - The Lake Region Christian fifth grade boys, Pillager seventh grade boys and Aitkin eighth grade girls will play in the Pacesetter Minnesota Invitational Youth Basketball State Championship at the College of St. Benedict Saturday, June 20.
Boys in grades 5, 7 and 9 and girls in grades 6 and 8 will be playing for overall MIT titles in the Pacesetter program which involved more than 700 teams from throughout Minnesota in eight regions. Teams playing in the MIT qualified by losing only one game in the regional.

Fifth grade boys: Moose Lake-Willow River, Perham, Detroit Lakes, New London-Spicer, Waubun-Ogema-White Earth, Redwood Valley, Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa, Byron, Lake Region Christian, St. Clair, Fertile-Beltrami, Triton, Caledonia, Pipestone, Lewiston-Altura, Warroad.
Seventh grade boys: Mountain Lake, Willmar, Pine City, Minnesota Valley Lutheran, Cannon Falls, Esko, Waterville-Elysian-Morristown, Pillager, Tracy-Milroy-Balaton, Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton, St. Charles, Janesville-Waldorf-Pemberton, Norman County West.
