FERGUS FALLS — Rodney Oliver collected 28 points and seven rebounds and Josh Lewis finished with 18 points, 10 rebounds and nine assists as the Central Lakes College Raider went on the road and picked up a 108-96 victory Thursday, Nov. 18, against Minnesota State.

The Raiders jumped out to a 59-37 first-half lead in what assistant coach Brandon Bell called the best half of basketball by the Raiders all season.

“It was by far one of our best halves that we have played,” Bells said. “We shot 87% from the field and 80% from 3-point. The best stat of the game and for the season so far was 92% shooting from the line.

“Overall, we’re getting better as each game goes by. That road win was good for us to learn as a team and continue to build and trust one another. That group we have is a very young group, but with a lot of energy and a high basketball IQ. Every game someone different seems to have a big game for us and we’re just excited to see who is next to have a big moment.”

The victory pushes CLC to 2-1 overall. The Raiders will host Ridgewater 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 20.
