Cam Christiansen, Nisswa, skiing for the U.S. Biathlon Team, completed two races last week at the Open European Junior Championships in Nove Mesto, Czech Republic.
On Feb. 2, in the 15km men's individual event, Christiansen shot 2,1,1,1, to finish in 75th place, 10:40 behind the Russian winner.
On Feb. 4, in the 10km men's sprint, he shot 1,1, to finish in 79th, 4:35 behind the Russian winner. Failing to make the top 60, Christiansen did not advance to the pursuit event Feb. 5.
For the next two weeks, the U.S. Junior Team will train in Nove Mesto, then move to Orsblie, Slovakia, for the Youth and Junior Championships Feb. 22-23.
