Cam Christiansen of Nisswa Northwest Biathlon, finished the final race at the Youth and Junior World Championships in Slovakia Tuesday.
There were 32 nations with teams of up to four members of each gender entered in the races representing Europe and Asia along with the U.S. and Canada.
Christiansen raced in three of the four events, the 15km Junior Men's Individual, the 10km Junior Men's Sprint and the 4x7.5km Junior Men's relay.
In the individual event with a 1-minute add-on penalty for misses, he finished 72nd with six penalties and a time of 48:28.
In the sprint event with 150 meter penalty loops, Christiansen shot 3,4, and finished 80th, 5:32 behind the winner.

In the relay, which requires an athlete to shoot up to eight shots if targets aren't all hit, Christiansen was on the second leg and moved the U.S. from 17th to 13th, shooting clean in prone and missing one in standing but hitting with his first extra round. He had the seventh-fastest shooting time and the 10th-fastest ski time for that leg. The U.S. finished 14th.
The next event will be March 11 at Mt. Itasca in Coleraine.
