Biathlon: Christiansen named to US Y/Jr Worlds Team

Cam Christiansen of the Nisswa Northwest Biathlon Club was one of five Minnesota biathletes were named by U.S. Biathlon to the U.S. team for the Youth and Junior Championships Feb. 26-March 4 in Otepaa, Estonia.

Cam Christiansen of the Nisswa Northwest Biathlon Club was one of five Minnesota biathletes were named by U.S. Biathlon to the U.S. team for the Youth and Junior Championships Feb. 26-March 4 in Otepaa, Estonia.

Christiansen will compete in the Junior Men category (U21).

Additional Minnesotans include Amanda Kautzer of the Twin Cities in Junior Women (U21); Emma Stertz, Mt. Itasca Biathlon, in Youth Women (U19); and Vasek Cervenka and Garrett Beckrich, both Mt. Itasca, in Youth Men (U19).

Biathletes participating in the US Trials Dec. 29 at Mt, Itasca were from Minnesota, Alaska, Maine, Vermont, Washington, Wyoming, Colorado, California and New York.
