The Brainerd Warriors dropped two matches in the first conference match of the season Saturday at Southway Bowl in St. Cloud.

Sauk Rapids and Forest Lake defeated the Warriors 3-2. Despite the losses, the Warriors averaged 196 per game after 10 games.

High bowlers for the day were Shakira Warta with 85 percent fills and Stephen Johnson with 100 percent.

In the junior varsity division, Brainerd Blue beat St. Cloud Tech 4.5-0.5 and Brainerd Silver 5-0. Leading Brainerd Blue was Hannah Larson with 80 percent fills.

The next conference match is Sept. 23 at Split Rock Lanes in Wyoming, MN.
