Boys Basketball: Balanced Brainerd bounces Willmar

Brainerd Warriors hosted the Willmar Cardinals.

Cam Engholm tallied 16 points, five rebounds and four steals to help lead the Brainerd Warriors to a 68-56 Central Lakes Conference victory in their home opener against the Willmar Cardinals Thursday, Dec. 9, at Brainerd High School.

John Pecarich led the Warriors in scoring with 19 points.

Mitchell Degen recorded 11 points, five rebounds and seven assists while Nick Evanson totaled eight points and seven rebounds.

Brainerd shot 50.9% from the field and improved to 2-0 on the season.
