Boys Basketball: Bison halt Brainerd win streak at 3

BUFFALO--Michael Bieganek contributed 11 points and six rebounds as the Brainerd Warriors had a 3-game win streak snapped in a 67-58 loss to the Buffalo Bison in a game between Section 8-4A teams Tuesday.

Joey Sauer scored 13 points and Michael Russell 10 for Brainerd which lost to a team that won for just the third time in 12 games.

"We got outplayed in every area of the game tonight against a team who was much hungrier," Warriors coach Scott Stanfield said. "We were not ready to play and that falls squarely on my shoulders."

Andrew Johnson scored 17 points and Matt Willert 14 for the Bison who shot 58 percent from the field, 56 percent from 3-point.

The Warriors lost despite shooting 53 percent from the floor, 46 percent from three and 71 percent at the line.
