Boys Basketball: Pecarich’s game winner lifts Warriors over Moorhead

MOORHEAD —Brainerd’s John Pecarich recorded nine points for the Warriors, including the game-winning basket with 1.8 seconds left on the clock as they defeated the Moorhead Spuds Tuesday, Feb. 9.

Griffin Rushin led all scorers with 27 points for the Warriors on 11-for-14 shooting. While Nick Evanson contributed 13 points and 11 rebounds off the bench.

Mitchell Degen added 11 points for the Warriors.

Brady Walthall scored 26 points to lead the Moorhead Spuds with Trey Feeney adding 15 and Blake Walthall contributing 14.

The win is Brainerd’s sixth in a row.
