ROGERS-Michael Russell led the Brainerd Warriors with 21 points, but 21 turnovers paved the way for a 67-47 Rogers Royals win in Friday's matchup of Section 8-4A opponents.
Rogers had three players reach double figures to improve to 19-3 overall and claim its 12th straight victory. The Royals improve to 5-2 against Section opponents. Brainerd falls to 1-6 against 8-4A teams.
"Rogers' pressure hurt us in the second half and they took it to us and wore us down," said Warriors head coach Scott Stanfield. "We played a fast Fergus team (Thursday), which took some of our energy out of us tonight. We closed it to one in the second half, but had three minutes of inconsistent play which really hurt us."
Michael Biganeck finished with eight points and six rebounds, while Chris Karels led the Warriors with seven boards.
