Brainerd Warriors head boys basketball coach Charlie Schoeck was voted the Section 8-4A Coach of the Year according to the Minnesota Basketball Coaches Association.
Schoeck led the Warriors to a 14-3 overall record and a No. 1 seed in the section tournament.
After opening with two straight losses, the Warriors posted 14 straight victories. Brainerd finished second in the Central Lakes Conference with a 9-2 record.
