DETROIT LAKES -- The Detroit Lakes Lakers edged the Staples-Motley Cardinals by one stroke to capture the Mid-State Conference boys' golf championship Thursday.

DETROIT LAKES -- The Detroit Lakes Lakers edged the Staples-Motley Cardinals by one stroke to capture the Mid-State Conference boys' golf championship Thursday.
Cory Wilson paced the Cardinals with a 74. Travis Wilson wasn't far behind with a 78 while Isaac Landecker and Derek Orth carded 79s for S-M.
Mike Grieme's 79 helped the Wadena-Deer Creek Wolverines to a third-place finish.
