Boys Golf: Both Evans pace Warriors to win

CROSSLAKE--Jack and Cody Evans jumped out of the gates early as they both carded even-par 35s to lead the Brainerd Warriors to first in the Crosswoods Spring Opener Friday.

CROSSLAKE-Jack and Cody Evans jumped out of the gates early as they both carded even-par 35s to lead the Brainerd Warriors to first in the Crosswoods Spring Opener Friday.

Gavin Metz, Erik Stoxen and Danny Olson all shot 37s with Luke Anderson following with 38 leading to Brainerd's 144.

John Marchwick shot 38 and Henry Neva 41 to pace Pequot Lakes to second. Brady Raph shot 38 and Keenan Dahl 39 to lead Pine River-Backus to third and Crosby-Ironton placed fourth led by Zach Spalj's 45.

Team scores: 1-Brainerd 144, 2-Pequot Lakes 167, 3-Pine River-Backus 176, 4-Crosby-Ironton 200

Individual medalist: Jack Evans (Brd) 35, Cody Evans (Brd) 35
