ST. CLOUD-Joe Foley earned the top score with a 5-over-par 77 to help the Brainerd Warriors secure the victory in the second Central Lakes Conference meet of the season Tuesday at Wapicada Golf Club.
"We came in today knowing that the weather was going to be pretty crummy," Foley said. "I knew how much some of the holes had given me a difficult time in the past so I made sure to simplify my game plan to adjust to the weather."
Brainerd's Jack Evans shot an 80 to finish third. Danny Olson and Andrew Muesing shot 84s to complete Brainerd's top four scores leading to the team's 325 which was 10 shots fewer than runner-up Alexandria.
After two CLC meets, Evans leads the conference with a 76 average. Foley is second with a 78.
