Boys Golf: Stoxen lands in third for 1st-place Warriors

Brainerd at Blackberry Ridge for Central Lakes Conference meet Monday, May 3

SARTELL — Erik Stoxen opened with a back nine 36 and finished with a 3-over 75 to place third individually and lead the Brainerd Warriors to the team title of the Central Lakes Conference meet Monday, May 3, at Blackberry Ridge.

Stoxen opened on the back nine and quickly birdied three of his first six holes to find himself 3-under through seven holes. A bogey and double bogey got the senior back to even. Stoxen mixed three bogies in with six pars on the front nine.

Dawson Ringler finished fifth with his 78. The sophomore birdied the 361-yard, par 4 17th to go with seven bogies and 10 pars.

Cole Proctor and Turner Person both shot 81s helping Brainerd to its seven-stroke victory.
