Boys Golf: Warriors win invite at Detroit Lakes

DETROIT LAKES--Brainerd finished first as a team and the Warriors' Cody Evans lost a sudden death playoff for medalist at the Detroit Lakes Earlybird Invite at Lakeview Golf Course Tuesday.

DETROIT LAKES-Brainerd finished first as a team and the Warriors' Cody Evans lost a sudden death playoff for medalist at the Detroit Lakes Earlybird Invite at Lakeview Golf Course Tuesday.

Evans finished with a 1-over-par 65 followed by Jack Evans (66), Gavin Metz (69) and Dan Olson (71) for Brainerd's top four scores.

Team scores: 1-Brainerd 271, 2-Detroit Lakes 278, 3-Crookston 295, 4-Pequot Lakes 306, 5-Kindred 310, 6-Park Rapids 332, 7-Wadena-Deer Creek 361

Brainerd results: Cody Evans 65, Jack Evans 66, Gavin Metz 69, Dan Olson 71, Luke Anderson 72, Erik Stoxen 73
