SAUK RAPIDS - Cole Ball netted the winning score with three minutes left for the Brainerd Warriors who snapped a six-game winless streak by defeating the Sauk Rapids-Rice Storm 3-2 in a 2-point Central Lakes Conference game Thursday.
Peter Dahl and Matt Blanch also tallied goals for the Warriors who led 2-1 after two periods. Landon Rivard finished with a pair of assists while Josh Howieson, Blanch and Tate Motschenbacher each collected one.
Brady Mick picked up the win with 38 saves for the Warriors who were outshot 40-21.
